My dog is very excitable and won't sit or stay still.
I would say roughly 60% of dogs that come for a photoshoot aren't the greatest at sitting still, this is not always due to them but often because of the new environments. Luckily I have some great tricks in order to get gorgeous photos of them, not only can we get some natural photos of them doing their own thing and action shots, but I often keep dogs on their lead and simply photoshop the lead out afterwards. It looks like it was never there in the first place!
My dog can not go of his/her lead.
That is no problem at all! I can easily remove the lead in photoshop so that it looks like it was never there. We can also still do action shots by you running or walking quickly next to them.
What if the weather isn't very good on the day of the photoshoot?
I always keep an eye on the weather during the week. In fact, I think I have become a good weather man due to studying the clouds so much over the years! If the weather is no good on the day, we can either move it to later on in the day or we can rearrange at no extra cost to you.
How long after the photoshoot will I be able to view the photos?
I usually have the photos finished within 5 days and then I make contact and book you in for a viewing session where you get to order your products. This takes place in the comfort of your home or in a local cafe.
My dog is nervous of new people.
Not to worry! I work with lots of nervous and interesting personalities all the time, especially with Moorlands Dog Rescue who I take photos for but with the foster dogs that I look after. I used to look after dogs when their owners went on holiday and over the last 4 years I have learnt a lot about dog behaviour from highly qualified behaviourists and have a keen interest in positive reinforcement training. A long lens comes in very handy too!
Where do the photoshoots take place?
Most of my photoshoots take place at the Roaches near to Leek in the Staffordshire Moorlands. I highly recommend this place because it is such a beautiful place. I know it extremely well which helps me to get lovely and varied images. It also works at any time of the year (yes even in January!) due to the various foregrounds and backgrounds such as rocks, heather, trees, bracken, dry stone walls, paths, fallen down tree, bilberry bushes and of course the stunning views. However I will travel anywhere in the UK!
How much do the photoshoots cost?
A one dog photoshoot cost £79 and a two dog photoshoot costs £95. Each additional dog is £20. Each package comes with a £35 credit to put towards products. Products start at £35 (10x8 double mounted print). Clients typically spend at least £400.
